From theme parties and team building meetings to international festivals
and multicultural workshops, Henna Garden Events & Entertainment provides
unique and customized event planning in the greater Bay Area. HG
specializes in theme parties and ethnic events for schools, non-profit
organizations, museums, private clients, corporations, and more. Henna
Garden has been presenting a variety of special events and entertainment since 1996 to a wide range
of audiences. Most recently HG partnered with the Academy of Friends on
their Oscar Party. The “Hollywood to Bollywood” theme was one of the
largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in San Francisco, raising a large sum of
$450,000. Henna Garden was chosen from many SF-based designers as one of
four set designers. HG has also worked with the California Palace of the
Legion of Honor, organizing 14 different events during their “Eternal
Egypt” exhibit. In addition, HG will be providing educational programs and
a variety of Egyptian entertainment, throughout the re-opening of the De
Young Museum exhibit of the Egyptian Goddess, Hatshepsut: From Queen to
Pharaoh, from October 15, 2005 through February 3, 2005.
Renda Dabit,
founder of Henna Garden Events and Entertainment, pioneered the art of
henna body decoration in America in 1996, when she opened the
first-ever U.S. henna salon in Berkeley, CA.
She developed her own
formula, blending henna, oils, and herbs imported from all over the world.
Henna has been part of
Renda’s family tradition dating back hundreds of years and traveling
extensively throughout the world inspired Renda to bring body art and
ancient ritual practices from the East to the West. As the first person to
introduce a Henna salon and products to the U.S. retail market, Renda has
been featured on Entertainment Tonight and E! Television, as well as in
publications such as People, Us, Vogue, The New York Times, and the San
Francisco Examiner. She is currently working on a documentary film project
about henna culture that will take the henna experience beyond traditional
boundaries and educate new audiences.
Today, Renda has expanded Henna Garden into a one-of-a-kind enterprise
serving a diverse range of clients from museums and schools to large
corporations. Our corporate clients have included *Oracle*,
*Bloomingdale's* and *BMW* among others. (See below for
extended list.) From traditional weddings, teen events, and cultural
celebrations to photo shoots for designers such as Hugo Boss and
Calvin Klein, Henna Garden has provided exceptional service.
“It is such a pleasure to work with your
